I have always enjoyed getting lost in a book; one more chapter always turned into almost finishing the book and finishing the book typically turned into quickly finding another series to start. There was just something about words that always fascinated me, which ultimately led me to pursuing and earning my BA in English with a minor in Journalism. I also had a passion for sports and coaching, having played soccer and field hockey during my high school years, and that led me to acquiring another minor in Athletic Coaching. I was very fourtunate to be able to have had two internships that allowed me to see how a local literary nonprofit worked and how a local radio newsroom operated with some of my news pieces published on their website.​

While I never quite pursued the path I wanted with my degree, I found my calling in the Autism field for about 7 years where I worked in an Elementary school, alongside families within their homes and on a campus built just for children with severe autism whose school districts could not provide the best environment for them with learning. Every day was a new adventure when I went to work and the lessons those kids taught me have absolutely helped to reshape my view on the world and education. While I thoroughly enjoyed working with and creating connections with so many kids and families, my husband and I made the decision that staying home would be more beneficial and thus started my career path as a stay-at-home mom.

I currently live in Pennsylvania with 3 very active children (2 girls, 1 boy) and have been able to watch them grow and be more involved with their childhoods than I could have ever imagined. While you can typically find me bouncing between sports fields and practices during the fall and spring seasons, we love to find new playgrounds, explore hiking trails, kayak and tube down creeks, get creative with crafts and chalk up the driveway with our neighbors.
