Zachariah Wilhelm

English Instructor

at The Lantern English Co.

Growing up under the influence of writers such as Tolkien and Lewis, I developed an avid passion for reading and writing books, especially the epic fantasy genre. I began writing numerous short stories at age seven before beginning to write novels with the intent of communicating deeper biblical truths.

In 2015, I began my college career at Pensacola Christian College, where I graduated with a B.A. in English with a Professional Writing concentration. During my time at college, I served as part of the editorial staff for the Fountains literary journal, working with authors to revise and strengthen their pieces for publication. In October 2018, I published a collection of written works entitled A Spark of Light as part of my senior portfolio project.

Now I want to take those English and writing skills I’ve developed to help others learn and grow. Writing doesn’t have to be a drudgery; it’s fun, and I want my students to get that feeling after taking classes with Lantern English.

In my free time, you might find me exploring new places, hiking the hills and valleys of New York, or just hanging out with friends and family. I enjoy playing the piano, swinging clubs out on the golf course, and playing games of all sorts. I also love dark roast coffee.
